Irish Organic Trout
Oncorhynchus mykiss
Farmed in Clew Bay, Mayo, the Irish Organic Trout differs from those of other origins and are characterised by their sleek body form and silver bright skin. The rich tasting trout produced is popular in markets such as France, Scandinavia and Japan. The Irish Organic trout is available round or gutted, fresh or frozen, head on/off and filleted. The main sizes are 1-2 kg, 2-3 kg and 3-4 kg.
The Irish organic trout is farmed in accordance with organic farming standards established by the European Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 and Regulation (EC) No 889/2008; (this European certification also gives our producer permission of usage of the French AB logo)
Dieticians and other scientists are definite: trout is one of the most nutritious fish. The flesh is very rich in protein: a trout portion of 240 g is enough to cover 100% of your daily protein needs.

Atlantic Fare offer a range of value added Sea Reared Organic Trout products either as consumer products under our Atlantic Fare brand or as bulk products packed on ice. Depending on Customer specifications, Atlantic Fare can supply fillets, portions or steaks produced to a variety of trims, customer specifications and packaging options.
FILLETS PBI, PBO
Atlantic Fare fillets are hand trimmed to customer specification and packing options. Fillets can be produced skin off.
PORTIONS
Atlantic Fare portions are produced to customers specifications and can be supplied skin on or skin off, with or without tail pieces.
STEAKS
Atlantic Fare Steaks are produced to customers specifications and packing options.
